Description: In a world rich in magic, magical abilities seem to manifest in everyone in different ways. Ice magic, fire magic, mages who turn invisible, mages who create illusions. Many different types, many different levels. Every pony has untapped potential to become a great wizard, and save the world from the forces of darkness. Most are in it for the fun and glory, though.

Time: The solar cycles in Dragontooth are about 3600 days long, and there are 120 months, each denoting a part out of thirty of a season. For example: Summer Fifteen, meaning halfway through the Summer months. The 'day' is always out of thirty as well. The 'solar cycle' is denoted as a number, then the era it's part of in a particular format. The exact format is [Season] [1-30] [Day], [Cycle]-[Era]E. The 396th solar cycle of the 15th era would be something like 396-15E. A recent date from the current story is as follows: Summer Fifteen 18th, 999-15E.

Broken down, this means: the 18th day of the 45th month, in the 999th solar cycle of the fifteenth era. The exact length of an 'era' is variable, and when it starts and ends is decided by the King, though they usually last at least a few thousand solar cycles.

"A year" refers to a 360 day period, or exactly 1/10th of a solar cycle. This means that the ages listed for Dragontooth characters is technically inaccurate. If you want their "real time" age, just subtract five days from their age for every year old they are. For example, an '18 year' old would be missing 90 days, and therefore actually be 17 years and 9 months old.
