Background: Berry Heart was a unicorn prodigy, born into a royal family. She was originally a stallion, and devoted herself to her studies until she had mastered every form of magic. Somewhere along the line, coincidentally around the time she was studying alicorns, Berry Heart discovered she identified as a mare instead, and so she transitioned.

Once she was at the height of her power, she inherited the throne as her mother passed away. As her power grew, so did her arrogance. Eventually, she sprouted wings and denounced the gods. She outlawed their worship, and demanded instead that her followers worshipped her as a goddess instead.

Still, she was kind to the subjects that agreed to the change. She claimed to have glorious purpose, and that she was the only one with enough strength, will, and intelligence to achieve true peace in the world. She used her magic to solve all of her subjects prayers, so long as they worshipped her. Eventually, all the lands were under her control, and prospered. At this point, she was approached by Alhukm who was seeking a host who could represent him as the God of Power and Purpose.

After a very long conversation, she agreed, and left with him to become his host. However, right as Alhukm took her to his plane, she betrayed him, asserting that she was the only goddess. Before Alhukm could even defend himself, she ascended and became Vanity, ruling over Vanity.
