Background: Dragons and drakes have been the subject of awe and wonder for millennia, but what's the true story? Are they regal creatures, violent beasts, do they hold ancient wisdom, or do they think only of their hunger? Unlike the more primitive pisciquus, the dragons actually have a relatively advanced society and no longer rely on their primal instincts. Indeed, there's as much variation in the personality of dragons as ponies. For every murderous, greedy, brutal dragon, there's a gentle giant who wishes only to help. 

Jieshi was born in the draconian desert clan Zhi in Arbi. He was a studious bookworm, and took particular interest during his schooling years in other cultures and politics, and when he was of age, he set off for the Ebanian Empire, where he attended college, majoring in international relations. He graduated at the top of his class, and after interning for four years at the embassy, and spearheading dozens of envoys between nations, he eventually rose to be a well-respected diplomat on behalf of the draconian desert clans.

Once his career was taking off, it was only a matter of time before he attempted to establish relations between the Ebanese Empire and the scattered tribes of zebra in the southern jungles. In particular, he was tasked with securing a source of trade- including the slave-trade, which is alive and well in Arbi. He met Zamaradi, an up-and-coming warlord who was willing to set aside some tradition for wealth, and spearheaded an emerald mining operation worked mainly by captured griffin slaves. This would ultimately open the floodgates which would begin steady trade between the Eban and the Zebra. 

While technically a neutral party, he will often take work wherever he can find it, and Zamaradi had much use for him in establishing relations with other tribes. With Jieshi's help, Zamaradi managed to end a war spanning a thousand years, and integrate some smaller tribes into his own.

The most recent mission he was contracted for? Establishing relations between Reticent and Zamaradi in Petroint. So, he set sail.
