"I've been a wizard for a long time, kid. Used to be proud of it, but... now it's just a way to make cash and survive."
"Some people feel so strongly that their soul isn't happy just sitting there. It wants to lash out. Make changes. Explode. That's magic. If you can control it, you're a wizard."
"Fex sent me to say hi. I'm here to make sure you don't get in his way again. If you could just agree to that we could be on our ways... otherwise, things might get a little chilly."
Powers and Abilities
Estimated Power Level: Unknown, at least High 7-A (Large Mountain Level)
Simplified Abilities: Ice Manipulation
Weaknesses: Fire Magic
Personality and History
Personality: Cool, Cold, Sarcastic
Background: A mysterious and powerful ice wizard, Winter apparently joined up with Fex's Warband as a way to make some quick cash, though not even Fex's charm could extract the stallion's strange past. At some point, he crossed paths with Strawberry, finding her alone, missing her parents. He agreed to help her get to Olive and teach her magic, so that she could eventually join Dragontooth.
Family: Unknown
Passive: Magic or effects which are always active.
Cold-Hearted: [REDACTED]
Cryoarmor: Winter is infused with and empowered by absurd amounts of ancient cryogenic energy, granting him almost limitless resistance to both heat and cold, and rendering his body nearly as indestructible as his ice.
Quickspells: Magic useable instantly at full power without chanting.
Coldsnap: Winter's magic becomes a wave of cold incarnate, encasing everything in its path instantly in a thin layer of enchanted ice at absolute zero. The city of Acacia is a known victim of this spell, all of its residents now stuck in a sort of purgatory. The entire city, a stretch of the desert, and most of a nearby mountain range was frozen over before anybody could even realize it was happening. All attempts so far to melt or break the ice have failed.
Glacial Armament: Winter's enchanted ice covers his hoof and forms into a long blade, sharper than obsidian, but nearly unbreakable, and imbued with icy, magical energy. He could also manipulate its shape into other things, like a hammer.
Ice Sculpt: Winter freezes the air to create a small or medium object out of ice. Simple applications include things like barriers and slides, but with a little focus he can create more complicated things like furniture or art.
Sublimation: Winter can use this spell to instantly turn any ice he has created into vapor, or otherwise unfreeze things he has frozen. This can be as wide as instantly unfreezing an entire area affected by Coldsnap, or as specific as carving drawings into ice.
Normal Mode: Magic useable without any special transformations or conditions.
Brainfreeze: Winter encases the mind of either himself or a target in a layer of protective enchanted ice for up to ten minutes. This dispels any active mental status effects, provides immunity to direct psychic damage, and resistance to any mind-based effects. However, it also makes it hard to think.
Manafreeze: Winter sends out of a windy puff of enchanted snow which nullifies other magic on contact. This can be used either defensively to cancel out an incoming spell or existing magic, or offensively to inflict a target with Silence for up to a minute and dispel any magical effects.
Silence: Can't use or benefit from any magic except for passives and finale spells.
Polar Palace: Winter channels his icy magic into a tool for construction, clearing an area with expanding ice then building upwards into a large structure of his choosing, such as a castle.
Finale Spells: Magic which consumes all/most of a wizard's currently useable magic.
Absolute Zero: The target of this forbidden spell is swallowed by an abyssal blizzard, encased in a deep blue ice which can hardly be seen through, and irreversibly frozen to their absolute core. It's said that this spell doesn't just freeze the body of its victim, but their very soul. Not even Winter can undo its effects.
