Background: Fennu lived as the mythical dragon-horse called the Longma. His hooves created earthquakes with each step, and the beat of his wings made hurricanes. He foretold the coming of the great sage kings, who were benevolent to the humans in China. After China lost the great war, its people soon forgot the sage king, and grew ungrateful for all the help they had been given. Humanity told Fennu that if only he could summon the sage kings one more time, they'd surely return to the path of the righteous. They tricked him into entering a device promised to channel his power to do so, but he was betrayed, and the humans instead attempted to steal his power.

This threw Fennu into a rage. He detested mortals, and noted that their goodwill was simply a cover for their wicked nature. He rampaged along the Earth, killing every single human on it so that the gods could return. Upon returning to the sage kings, he was told that this was all foretold, and that Fennu cleared the Earth so humanity could be reborn. Betrayed now by the gods as well, Fennu realized that virtue itself was a lie, and even the perfect gods were sinful. Predicting his protest, the sage kings banished Fennu to Diyu, the land of the dead.

There, his rage exploded into a passion that not even the sage kings could anticipate. He dominated and enslaved every soul trapped there, and created an army. He stormed Tian, and after killing the other gods he stood before the supreme god Tiān. Knowing he could not kill Tiān, he instead turned around and commanded the entire army of souls to rip each other to shred.

He and Tiān now stood alone at the end of time and space. His heart was stricken with extreme suffering at the loneliness, and then anger that Tiān had done nothing to stop him, and still simply stood there. Secretly, Fennu had lived with a desire deep in his heart that he would be punished for what he'd done. He knew he was no exception to the rule, he too had sinned, and deserved to be punished.

Tiān told Fennu the same thing the sage kings had. He said that he had planned this entire time for Fennu to wipe from existence even the gods, so that he could recreate the world. In the middle of his grand explanation, Fennu interrupted him: "If you were truly omnipotent, you wouldn't have needed me at all. Are you not the supreme being?"

Fennu thought of the way that Tiān had made the gods, who had made the humans, who had made stories of their own. He then knew the answer to his own question. If there was a chain of creation, then Tiān too had been created. His creator had a creator, too. Perhaps it never ended. Fennu didn't want to be part of anyone's story anymore, instead he wanted to create his own story. With his suffering, passion, and hope, he achieved Pashen, allowing him to unwrite even Tiān.

He saw the entire narrative, and he saw that sin was everywhere, on every level. He swore to punish all of them, and that's when he ascended to Wrath, and created Wrath. Still, even in his own realm, he affords himself no comforts. He sits in an empty void, watching over the souls, as his own eternal punishment.
