Background: Boomstick used to be a sea captain in the Unicorn Sea, operating from Petroint. Due to reasons he doesn't talk about, he had to give up the life, and fell into poverty. He wandered the Slums, where he gained respect by sharing his wisdom and showing uncanny confidence. If not out of fear, then the rest don't seem to harm him out of pity- since he's always muttering seemingly insane speeches about old times and long-lost family members. Besides, he doesn't have much to steal. He banded the vagrants of Petroint together, and formed Hobotopia, a pseudo-settlement where the homeless gather together for safety and a sense of community.
