Background: Kabuta is a diwi, a species of small bug-like ponies native to the Chitter Forest. The antennae on her head aren't just sensitive to electromagnetism, but can manipulate it somewhat. In the forest, this was only to create short-ranged threatening sparks, or to glow brightly in the dark. In the modern world, she's found that she can use them to detect and scramble electronic devices. She can even pick up radio waves, and can hear the broadcasts. 

In Petroint, this ability has been invaluable in avoiding cameras, bypassing electronic security, and eavesdropping on communications. In addition, she attended a college there in programming and computer science, and was a bit of a prodigy. Now she's a seasoned hacker, and gets most of her income from jobs given to her by larger criminal organizations, or simply scamming people out of their bank accounts.
