Background: Thermite first appeared suddenly while Sketch, Blaze, Ghost, Oceana, and Sage were out on a mission to Acacia, the city which was mysteriously frozen. He claimed to be trying to find loot, and melting the ice to get it. The wizards were scared for the frozen residents, worrying that melting the ice might hurt them, so they fought Thermite to try and stop him. It was a close fight, but Blaze developed her Golden Flame Mode, which allowed her to burn his flames, and emerge victorious. Having no good means to arrest him, Thermite escaped after that, and told the wizards that he wants them to be stronger for the rematch.
