Background: Growing up, Currant aspired to many different life paths. Her parents told her that she had to choose one, but it never satisfied her. One day, the pressure to conform to just one hobby manifested as magic, and she grew larger than her entire town. Her parents rejoiced, and pressured her to be a wizard, which only made Currant even more stressed, so she ran away from home to find herself.

Magic Summary

Transmutation Wizards are a rare breed of extremely versatile wizards whose magic specializes in changing the physical properties of objects, including living objects. To describe a catch-all strategy for Transmutation Wizards would be impossible, as the diverse nature of their magic lends to each Transmutation Wizard being entirely unique, with their own personal set of spells and techniques. Some examples include alchemists who turn things to gold, shapeshifters who change their size and form at will, healers which remedy afflictions thought uncurable, and wizards who turn their opponent's own element against them.

That said, there does exist some common trends and countermeasures to the powers of a Transmutation Wizard. The most direct counter is that of Law Magic, which directly enforces and manipulates the natural laws of the world. Transmutation Wizards violate these natural laws, and so are easily susceptible to the consequences enforced by a Law Wizard for breaking them. The second best counter is Vacuum Magic, which by definition manipulates no physical object, leaving the Transmutation Wizard with nothing to actually physically modify.

The other general countermeasure is magic which is based on non-physical properties, such as: Spirit Magic, Holy Magic, Life Magic, and Death Magic. Since these types of magic already largely ignore the physical properties of the wizard they're affecting, they tend to pierce straight through most defenses a Transmutation Wizard is capable of.
