Background: Adam was born with clinical depression and anxiety. Despite a supportive family, he refused to seek help. He didn't get therapy, and he didn't take any medicine. He didn't tell his teachers, employers, new friends, or anyone about his condition. His aspirations were high, and he refused to let his condition hold him back. Instead, he suffered through the effects and pretended he was normal so that he could be successful.

Every single day, he struggled to get out of bed, and constantly thought about committing suicide. The only reason he did not, was because he knew his family would be sad, but somehow more important in his mind, was that they would be disappointed. His expectations for himself slowly chipped away at him, desperately reaching for a normal life he couldn't maintain.

Hiding his sadness behind a smile everyday, he actually became extremely famous and wealthy thanks to his natural intelligence and determination. However, as soon as his mother passed away at an old age, he hanged himself in the basement of his mansion. His fans were shocked. The few friends he had online were sad but not surprised. His body was not found for a week.

When he got to Hell, he was confused. He asked the Devil: "How am I in Hell? I was selfless my entire life. I suffered everyday to make others happy."

The Devil laughed, and told him: "You, boy, were more selfish than anyone."

Adam argued for days for his soul, and the Devil grew so frustrated that he asked God to test him.

So God came to Hell, and offered Adam one more chance to accept help.

Adam refused, and said he did not want the pity.

Adam thought not even God could help him, but he still somehow thought he could help himself.

Shortly after, he ascended and became Envy, suffering still in Envy.
